In addition to increasing output, process engineers improve existing processes through experiments designed to boost product quality and reduce product variability. If you worked in this area and learned there was a problem with a product, you would locate and solve it as quickly as possible.

What must you have? 
To work on the Process team, you must be able to find and solve problems quickly. Therefore, logical thinking, proactiveness, a calm demeanor and teamwork are your secrets! Don’t forget to maintain positive thinking and optimism to face the challenges.

What are some advantages? 
When new products and processes are introduced, some of my co-workers can travel on business. Eva went on a business trip to Japan last year. In addition to communicating and cooperating with Japanese people, learning new technologies and experiencing the Japanese workplace culture, she also enjoyed some leisure time. Also, you can fully express your personal opinions at work and overcome difficult problems with your colleagues!

What do senior team members say? 
Process engineers need to face the pressure of productivity and quality, so it’s a challenging job. But as long as you’re willing to learn and challenge yourself with an open mind, Eva believes this job can bring you a lot of professional knowledge and coping skills in the workplace.

What do you do?

The working goals of the MFG team are always clear but difficult. If you’re enthusiastic, cooperative, brave, scientific, professional and able to analyze data, you'll walk a smooth road with the MFG team all the way.

What do you do?
The mission of the Facilities (FAC) team is to ensure normal operation of the factory area and serve the precision manufacturing engineering team. Your shipment target is in our sights!

What must you have?
If you want to work on the Facilities (FAC) team, you have to take the initiative, face problems, have the courage to try, work well on a team and be enthusiastic and resilient. Then you can climb the ladder within the FAC team.

What do senior team members say?
FAC colleagues cooperate and discuss with each other at work and move toward common goals. When they are off work, they also strive for rankings and enjoy participating in whole-factory sports activities. There is a genuine spirit on the FAC team!

What do you do? 
If you work on the Photo (PH) team, you learn how to optimize maintenance, resume machine operations quickly and achieve the highest efficiency. Your leader helps you understand the structure of the machines and principles of the manufacturing process more quickly.

What must you have?
If you want to work on the PH team, you need to be bold and find solutions through reasoning, logic, systematic analysis and induction. You must be innovative, seeking improvements to stimulate output. And you should be enthusiastic about operations: When a typhoon or earthquake comes and other people stay home, you get to go out and do something!

What do you do?
If you work on the Advanced Development Technology Taiwan (ADTT) or Technology Development Taiwan (TDT) team, you cooperate with experts from various countries to develop and introduce new-generation semiconductor technology. You also improve the quality and stability of the process by collecting and analyzing theoretical and experimental data.

What must you have?
Skills in logical thinking, scientific methods, teamwork and competence in a foreign language are all indispensable to success on the ADTT or TDT team.

What are some advantages?
Members of these teams often travel abroad on business and discuss technology research, development and transfer information with global top-notch professionals. You not only have the opportunity to understand the culture of other countries, but you can also add personal travel to your work travel schedule.

If you work on the Smart Manufacturing & Artificial Intelligence (SMAI) team, you make use of big data and AI technology to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.

In addition to cross-cultural collaborative skills, you should have professional knowledge of data processing, AI and machine learning. This knowledge will enable you to grow and keep pace with the SMAI team.

What do you do?
The Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence (SMAI) – Data Science team resolves problems on the production side of our processes by analyzing data and developing artificial intelligence of things (AIoT) devices to establish a production-line defense.

What must you have?
In addition to Python programming (particularly important), database processing and development skills for extract, transform and load (ETL) tools, you must be familiar with software structure and be able to work independently.

What do senior team members say?
It’s important to communicate with people from different countries, discuss projects and improve our own software based on feedback from engineers. Jeff said that, when he witnesses his project helping production lines and engineers, he feels really happy!

On the SMAI – Data Science team, all developed projects need to be highly reliable and efficient to ensure that production lines run smoothly. The team welcomes people who want to address challenges; join us and let’s brainstorm together!  

What do you do?
As Micron DRAM's test center, the Taiwan Central Probe (TCP) team not only witnesses Micron's breakthroughs but also enhances DRAM production by resolving the root cause of any problems that appear during testing.

What must you have?
In addition to being competent in foreign languages and having strong teamwork skills, you need basic knowledge of machine structures and electronic machines. If you also know the basics of industrial management, you can get started faster.

TCP team members are encouraged to speak up, bravely express their ideas and solve problems together in global cross-team cooperation. The TCP team is young and energetic, so if you have a clear mind and enthusiasm for self-improvement, you are welcome to join us.

What do you do?
The Process, Equipment and Manufacturing (MFG) teams, along with the Advanced Development Technology Taiwan (ADTT), are vital for our production line. They collaborate to ensure equipment control and maintenance, refined machine transformation, transfer of advanced manufacturing processes and improvement of our yield rate.

What must you have?
We welcome people with backgrounds in science and engineering, chemical engineering and materials engineering to challenge the limits of the manufacturing process. In addition to data analysis, you must also have strong communication and teamwork skills to maintain the production lines with your colleagues.

What do senior team members say?

What do you do?
From suggesting experiments to analyzing data and tracking results, the Central Process Integration Engineering (CPIE) team’s goal is to quickly increase the product yield rate and integrate across-plant products. When the yield rate of the project you're responsible for has improved significantly, you will feel an overwhelming sense of accomplishment.

What must you have?
Those who have a background in science and engineering, chemical engineering or materials engineering or who have worked in the semiconductor industry are welcome to join us to help each factory solve difficulties. Being open-minded and enthusiastic is also a plus. To succeed in the CPIE team, you shouldn’t be afraid of making mistakes, but you should be willing to absorb and accept new knowledge and share what you have learned.

What are some advantages?
As a global group, the CPIE team often holds transnational conferences in English and brainstorms with experts from different cultures and regions. Through these activities, you not only gain rapid growth in your professional fields and international perspectives, but you also increase your skills in communication, integration and adaptation. Teammates you see only online may one day help you experience the local culture when you’re traveling on business.

What do you do?
The Facilities (FAC) team stabilizes and maintains the supply systems for water, gas, electricity and chemicals at our sites. This team also handles and reduces waste generated during manufacturing, and it transforms and expands factory space, creating a sustainable and stable environment for the production lines and staff. 

What must you have?
Those who possess a background in science and engineering, environmental engineering or architecture are welcome to join us. You'll be in an excellent position if you also have certificates related to electrical engineering and electronics, environmental engineering or construction.
