Yes, all internships are paid.

To be eligible for an internship, you must be pursuing a degree (bachelor's, master's, or doctorate) at an accredited university, and the degree you are pursuing must match the position you are applying for. You will also need to meet the time requirements for the position. For example, most summer internships are full-time internships of at least 8 weeks.

Deadlines vary by position, but we recommend that you apply as soon as possible if you meet the qualifications. We will also release most of the internship and new graduate vacancies during the spring campus recruitment.

Yes, please apply for any position for which you are qualified and interested. Similarly, we recommend you write a resume appropriate to the position, including the knowledge and competencies incorporated into the job description. 

Don't forget to include information related to your leadership or volunteer service on your resume.

We conduct on-campus interviews, telephone screenings, face-to-face interviews and online interviews. The interview includes both technical and behavioral questions. Technical questions often revolve around the courses you've completed or your problem-solving skills.

Regardless of your job nature, employers are required by law to provide you with two days of rest within a seven-day period. 

In general, workers are entitled to holidays on memorial days, festivals, Labor Day, and other days designated for holidays by central authorities, as determined by the Ministry of the Interior. Holidays include the founding anniversary of the Republic of China, Lunar New Year's Eve, Lunar New Year, Peace Memorial Day, Children's Day, Tomb Sweeping Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day. Additionally, for Labor Day, workers are entitled to a one-day break.

119: To provide emergency medical services and fire response.

110: To report an accident to the police. 

113: To prevent domestic violence or sexual assault. This 24/7 emergency line offers services in Chinese, English, Taiwanese, Japanese, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Cambodian and Thai.

Foreign Affairs (English-Speaking) Police: Every police station in each city has a Foreign Affairs Division offering services in both Chinese and English. Currently, 24/7 service is exclusively available in Taipei and Kaohsiung. In other cities, you should make inquiries during regular office hours (8:30-12:00, 13:30-17:00). They handle less urgent matters at a more deliberate pace compared to the 110 hotline.

Taiwan boasts world-class healthcare standards and was the first in Asia to establish an accreditation system. Most medical centers and regional hospitals are accredited by the Joint Commission of Taiwan (JCT), which follows the American accreditation system. 

Also, in response to the government's 2030 bilingual policy, medical institutions in Taiwan are also gradually implementing bilingual services. Please refer to bilingual-friendly-hospital-list.pdf (nat.gov.tw) provided by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in each county and city.
