美光科技大使榮獲 2020 年 GSA 影響力女性新秀獎提名

作者 Rebecca Lewington - 2020-12-03

Micron’s Nahomi Aoto, senior director of Technology Development, has been nominated for the Global Semiconductor Association’s Rising Women of Influence Award, which is part of the organization’s 2020 Virtual Awards Ceremony and recognizes the next generation of women leaders in the semiconductor industry. Nahomi’s role is that of an ambassador of semiconductor technology to university students and professors in Japan.

Linda Somerville, corporate vice president of Mask & Materials Characterization in Technology Development, says that Nahomi gets things done, “Nahomi is a courageous and tenacious leader who does not shy away from making critical business decisions. She is hardworking and dedicated to the business.”

Linda herself was nominated last year, so this is the second year in a row that one of Micron’s team members will walk down the (virtual) red carpet at the awards ceremony. As a result of Linda’s nomination, the GSA asked her to make a video to support this year’s campaign theme: “Design the Solution.”

Meeting complex goals, for Micron and for all, calls for deep and diverse talent working across the entire organization, from circuit design to photomasks to process to customer collaboration. Linda had the idea to tell the story through the voices of some of Micron’s women technologists around the globe. This video is the result. I think it’s inspiring and it makes me smile. I hope you’ll feel the same way.

Watch our video, featuring these amazing women, and learn how we’re building the technologies to enrich life for all. And if you’re seeking to join Micron’s team and help change the world, learn more at micron.com/careers.
